I graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2008. I became the acting Inpatient Rehabilitation Senior at Mackay Base Hospital in 2011 and have worked in the area of rehabilitation since. I have had various inpatient and outpatient roles working within QLD Health and the NHS in the United Kingdom. I have focused all my post-graduate training and upskilling in the areas of rehabilitation and remain committed to my ongoing advancement of knowledge in these areas by being a member of the relevant networks and attending the latest evidence-based training available.
Since 2015 I have been working in the field of Vestibular physiotherapy and have completed both competency and advanced level education including passing all exams in this area. Since completing the necessary training, I have worked publicly in both acute inpatient wards and vestibular rehabilitation clinics to gain valuable expertise in treating both acute and chronic vestibular conditions. I have also been responsible for the upskilling of staff and training in this area.
As a born and bred Mackay local, I am passionate about assisting my local community. I have experienced how debilitating and overwhelming a sudden change in your health can be, so I understand the importance of working with you and your loved ones to achieve the best results possible.
